INGREDIENTS
· 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
· 3 Tbsp. brown sugar substitute, divided
· 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, divided
· 1 tsp. vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a small saucepan, heat applesauce, 2 Tbsp brown sugar substitute, and 1 tsp cinnamon over medium heat until most of the moisture has evaporated, about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.
2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, cooled applesauce, remaining 1 Tbsp brown sugar substitute, remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
3. Serve immediately, or refrigerate.
Note:
*You can stop after reducing the applesauce and have a delicious bit of apple butter
and forgo the cream cheese.
